Meet Tim Hall

 Tim is a teacher/tutor with almost twenty years of experience both in standardized test prep (SAT/ACT) and in classroom instruction, where his focuses have been AP English (both Lit and Lang!).

Tim's tenure as test prep teacher at Bishop Dunne Catholic School saw a 150-point increase in average school-wide SAT scores and a 4-point average increase in ACT scores—and things have only gotten better from there: with a tutoring company in his hometown of Dallas, Tim has seen an average improvement of 200 points and 6 points on those tests. There is no substitute for experience.

In addition to Tim's many years of test prep experience, he was a classroom teacher for 15 years, where his students’ AP Lang scores always exceeded those of all the other teachers in both of the schools where Tim taught it—his techniques work.

Meet Dave Hall

Dave has 20 years of experience teaching standardized test preparation. His test scores got better as he got older:

• 1460 SAT 
• 1500 GRE
• Three perfect 180 LSAT scores

Dave earned his JD from the University of Tennessee, and a BA in Philosophy from Texas A&M.

Dave has published the following articles in well-respected legal journals: 

• The Bias Presumption, Georgetown Law Journal
• Ten Years Fighting Hate, University of Miami Race and Social Justice Law Review
• The Underused Power of Jury Nullification, Tennessee Journal of Race, Gender, and Social Justice

Dave was a National Merit Scholar at Texas A&M, and after law school he taught as an Adjunct Professor of Law at The University of Tennessee College of Law.

Dave believes that repetition is the soul of learning. We extrapolate principles based on the evidence, then apply those principles over and over in new situations. This is how we become calm, confident, and successful. It’s also how we fight test anxiety; preparation is the nerves-killer!
